  • Buy a 3D printer. As of December 2024, an easiest-to-use printer (and probably the cheapest) is the Bambu A1 mini.
  • Get some basic PLA filament, e.g., from Amazon.
  • Register Bambu account. Install Bambu Studio on computer. Connect printer to computer.
  • Go to MakerWorld and find a model to print.
  • Print a test model. I chose the famous BENCHY model.
  • Print something minimal but useful. I chose a Clamshell Parts Box.
  • Print something with support structure. I chose a Travel folding clothes hanger.
  • Try time-lapse video shooting in printing.
